About Us

The Church Commissioners put the old church and churchyard at Murston into a charitable trust in 1977. The management of this was initially undertaken by the Kent Archaeological Trust and then from 1994 by the Cromarty Trust. But in December 2014 the Charity Commissioners approved a new trust deed which established Murston All Saints Trust as an independent charity with the following charitable objects:

  • to advance the arts, culture, and heritage; and
  • to advance the education of the general public in the understanding and appreciation of the arts, culture and heritage; and
  • to advance the education of the public in the conservation, protection and improvement of the physical and natural environment; and
  • to promote for the benefit of the public the conservation, protection and improvement of the physical and natural environment; including through

(1) the conservation of such historical, architectural, archaeological and natural heritage as may exist in and around the former church of All Saints Murston in the form of buildings or other remains and

(2) the building, establishment or running of a centre or other facilities for the arts, culture, heritage or conservation.

The support and commitment of a number of Swale Borough and Kent County councillors who have used their discretionary grants to help the project has been hugely encouraging and the project would not have got where it has without this continuing support.  So a big thank you to:
