Council leader Roger Truelove said: “This is terrific news for Swale.  The Council agreed to give a lead in backing MAST’s innovative project to save the Old Church as an asset for contemporary arts, creative and community activity and are delighted to see it come a step closer to fruition.”

MAST were thrilled to host outings in June and July 2021 for over 150 children from Sunny Bank Primary School to visit and learn about the church and explore the wildlife in the churchyard – providing them with their first school outing since the beginning of the Covid pandemic in March 2020.

Over the last few months a huge amount of work has been going on behind the scenes to get everything ready to obtain prices for the restoration of the old church and construction of the new studio and cafe building. If all goes to plan builders will be on site by the summer. Keep your […]
