Wonderful weekend at Murston

The last weekend of June was a busy one at Murston! On Friday night, the chancel was packed for a concert, as Bob Drury entranced an appreciative audience with his classical guitar. With the Hub cafe open for refreshments, it was the perfect way to start the weekend. Come Sunday, the musical fun continued, with an amazing summer open mic event, hosted by True Note vocal tuition, one of Murston Heart’s studio residents. There were some wonderful performances by young singers from around Sittingbourne, a delicious barbecue run by the Hub cafe, and a raffle packed with prizes, many contributed by Murston’s amazing creatives – raising £250 for Cancer Research UK! Thanks to everyone who helped organise the events, took part, contributed prizes, or came along to enjoy the day – see you again soon!
